Epilogue (Book Two)

Time does not forget. It remembers in silence.

Epilogue

The sky was clear, a single cloud drifting without hurry. The cliff stood radiant, its stone alive, untouched. Yet shadows had already gathered.

From that darkness a child stepped forth. Her eyes, unyielding, lifted against the one who claimed her.

A dark hand touched the wall. The living stone rippled, stirred, and reached. She pressed back, but the cliff drew her in, slow and inexorable. No cry escaped her lips as the surface sealed, smooth once more.

The shadow lingered, satisfied, before dissolving into the void for another thousand years.

And so it was. The cliff remained—bright, unmarred, eternal. Yet within it lay a tomb unseen, unmarked, unfound.

Time does not forget. It remembers in silence. It waits, and it keeps what is taken, until the hour returns.
